DELAND, Fla. (WTXL/AP) - Tallahassee attorney Benjamin Crump has filed a complaint with Florida Department of Law Enforcement on behalf of the family of a central Florida man who was killed after being run over by a police officer.

Marlon Brown’s family on Friday asked a Florida Department of Law Enforcement commission to conduct an independent review of the autopsy.

Brown’s family says the conclusions reached by the medical examiner’s office don’t make sense.

The cause of death was ruled accidental.

A dash-cam video released earlier this month shows the squad car following Brown, who slips and falls as the vehicle keeps going.

He had been pulled over for a seatbelt violation.

A grand jury found no criminal wrongdoing by the officer. The officer was fired and city of Deland reached a civil settlement with Brown’s family.
